Print Club London
Last month I was lucky enough to take a day out of the office to attend a screen printing workshop run by Print Club London. The workshops focus on how to screenprint your own design starting with creating your digital image through to applying the ink to canvas.
Having not screenprinted for many years I found the workshop a really enjoyable and inspirational experience. The technicians began the session by giving a history on screenprinting and the various techniques that can be used. I had long forgotten about the difference between threadcounts on alternative screens, and what a squeegee was, and I must say the guys were really informative and helpful in explaining the whole process.
Having had an educational day, I left the session with a rekindled passion for screen-printing and some lovely prints of my own design. I’d highly recommend this course, although I am now on a quest to find a studio a little bit closer to home…
